Instructions to make Rump Steak Sandwich:
- Season the steak with salt, pepper and clove powder. Leave to marinate for a minimum of 30 mins. Ensure the steak is at room temperature.
- Oil the steak and fry in a hot skillet. It's better to oil the steak than to add oil to the pan. Fry steak for a total of 4 mins, 2 mins on each side. Leave to rest for at least 5 mins before slicing into strips.
- In a small bowl, add the chopped parsley, rosemary and basil to the cream cheese. Mix well, if it is too firm, add a teaspoon of vinegar from the pickled gherkins.
- Toast the bread in the same skillet in order to soak up the juices.
- To assemble, spread the cream cheese mix generously on the toast. Top with pickled gherkins, sweet onions, sun dried tomatoes and artichoke antipasti. Spread the top slice with cream cheese.
- Serve with chips or crisps and coleslaw. Or just indulge as it is with an ice cold drink.
