- Note: can also be done in the steamer this will take 2 and 1/2 hours.
Drain and add to bacon, mix in enough gravy to moisten through. Put the bacon and onion over the pastry and sprinkle with a little white pepper and roll up like a Swiss roll. Now flour a clean muslin cloth and put the pudding on the cloth and roll it up. Tie both ends with string and place into a steamer basket. Season the bacon with pepper only and mix with the onions.
