  1. Take 2-3 lbs Pork(Baby-back) Ribs

  9. Get Vegetable Oil Spray

Ribs are great in the slow cooker, when they are finished you get a beautifully soft meat, flavoured by a slow cook in the slow cooker and anything else that you have put into the pot. Mix water, ketchup, tomato puree, brown sugar, vinegar, mustard and salt in a slow cooker, stirring to dissolve brown sugar and salt. Place short ribs into the sauce and stir to coat. Place the ribs in a large slow cooker, lined up against the sides of the pot (see photo above).

Instructions to make Slow Cooker Barbecued Ribs:
  1. Coat the pot of the slow cooker with the vegetable oil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, brown sugar, black pepper, garlic powder, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.
  3. Evenly rub the mixture all over both sides of your ribs.
  4. Arrange ribs in the slow cooker by standing them up against the wall of the pot, thicker side down and meaty side against the pot.
  5. Slowly pour the barbecue sauce over the ribs.
  6. Cover and cook for 6-8 hours on low. For us, 7 hours was perfect.
