The ingredients needed to make Beef kofta:
  1. Get 500 gms lean minced beef
  2. Prepare 1 habanero chilli
  3. Make ready 1 tbls lemon juice
  4. Get 3 cloves garlic
  5. Get 1 tsp salt
  6. Prepare 2 tbls parsley leaves
  7. Make ready 1 tbls mint leaves
  8. Make ready 1 small onion

Add half the chilli, the coriander stalks, turmeric, honey, curry paste and coconut milk, then blitz until combined. Pour into the kofta pan, bring to the boil, then simmer and season to taste. We call it Kafta in Lebanon and it's also widely known as Kofta in other Middle Eastern countries. It's basically a meatball using either beef, chicken or lamb, mixed with herbs, Middle Eastern spices and onions.

Instructions to make Beef kofta:
  1. Add parsley and mint in food processor and pulse until leaves are chopped
  2. Add garlic and onions and pulse until chopped and mixed with the herbs
  3. Add the minced beef, salt and lemon juice and pulse until all ingredients are mixed
  4. Form patties and leave aside
  5. Heat a grill pan with some cooking oil and grill each patty for about 1 minute or so on each side (until cooked 😊). I prefer it when grill marks form on the patties. You can cook these over a bbq grill too πŸ˜‰
  6. I served these up with a minty homemade sour cream
